4 Everyday Lipsticks

Friday, September 2, 2016

As easy as it may seem finding an everyday lipstick can be hard. I truly had to work up to this bunch of lipsticks I love. Most of these are pink-nudes because they match with pretty much anything. Who does not love a nice nude color on the lips for a pop of color. Also In these four sticks I added in a red color. A red can make the look even if you do not have time for eye shadow. Then of course a pink when you are feeling it. Those are the colors and now here are the lipsticks for that...

Freshly Pinked

Thursday, March 31, 2016

Spring is my favorite time for wearing makeup; it’s not too cold and not too hot to where the point you makeup is melting off. I often find myself applying additional products because the weather is so superior. I can never go on my Pinterest board without seeing a pink made up face. I love wearing pink on the lids and a pinky blush on the cheeks. Since spring is one of my adored makeup wearing seasons here is some of the things pink I have been loving…

Eyeshadow For Brown Eyes

Monday, August 17, 2015

A good percentage of us have brown eyes, and when you see brands they always advertise girls with blue, green, and hazel eyes with rarely ever brown. Many people are unaware of how good brown eyes can look with different colors to make them stand out. Brown eyes have a nice neutral color that can pretty much match any color you put with them. You can make your eyes stand out ideally with

Maybelline Lash Sensational

Finding the right mascara doesn't come to easy for me. I have the shortest, anti-volume lashes ever.  Most of the time I do put on mascara and it just doesn't stay. Going through tons of different mascaras every one was doing the same thing...

Sweat-Proof & Matte Makeup Bases

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

If you have oily skin you know its hard enough trying to keep you makeup in tact and in the summer its even harder! Here are some of my favorite products to use to keep a matte face...

Most importantly get a setting spray. I use NYX - Matte Finish spray. This is very long-lasting keeping your makeup set. I used this during Gym and sweated like a pig and this really helped keep it on. Powders are good for oily skin, but don't be afraid to use a setting spray just make sure its matte and long lasting. Matte sprays should keep you from shine and an oily look for most oily skin. Let me know what setting sprays work on your skin type in the comments!
Another matte base you need to get is the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion. I have not only have loved this myself but I know many who loves this too. Not always can concealer do the job this potion can keep from naughty creasing and help you eye shadow from running away! This is definitely worth it for those sweaty days!
Before putting on foundation you need a primer. This will give you a base for your foundation to hug. I use Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. This primer is very lightweight and smooth. This will not only prime but even out your skin tone. Love this!
Make sure to wear a wax eyeliner. Nothing worse than it making its way down your face. I love using Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil. This is also water-proof! This eyeliner is super creamy and gliding pencil that drys to not budge.
You need a lip-liner in the hot summer heat! You don't want you lip color to fly away! Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Liner in the best long-lasting lip liner! Its clear so no mess! You only have to buy one lip liner no more buying hundreds of different colors. This will keep you lips set in place with moister to not dry them out in the sun!

Make sure to wear something like these bases this summer!

How To Wear A Purple Lip

Monday, June 1, 2015
how to wear a purple lip

Purple lips aren't only for winter, its a fun springy/summer color too! But, sometimes it can be hard too because it can sometimes look a little tacky and unprofessional. So here are some ways you can rock it...

First off you want to make sure it fits your skin tone. You don't have to feel limited to the amount of purple colors that are out their, pick one that you like, there are plenty of purples out their for you. Usually if you have a warmer skin tone it works well with a color between reddish purple to purple, and if you have a cooler skin tone you could go for a range of cooler purples.

Keep everything else minimal, the lipstick is the spotlight and can clash with an eye shadow and add to much color. You want to keep you hair simple as well. You don't want to look like a clown!

Lastly, purple lipstick can make you lips look small, to prevent this simply add a clear lip-gloss to give it a normal look. For an extra, add a little bit of white eye shadow in the inner lips for an ombre lip effect. Make sure to blend it well.

How do you like wearing your purple lipstick?
Ps.. Love it when you comment!

How To Master The Cat Eye...

Thursday, May 7, 2015
I struggle with doing eyeliner/eye shadow on my eyes in never really works out for me. Since forever, watching makeup eye tutorials, and practicing it I finally concurred the liner part. I think it really does take time. I definitely prefer a liquid liner verses any other types. But here is my favorite trick I learned watching all the videos that I can...

Map out your line. Start at the inner eye and place a dot, do this to both sides where your pupil stops, then dot your crease and dot the end where ever you would like your wick to end. Place the dots where the red dots are placed. Then connect the dots!

Hope this helped you, remember to keep practicing!

How To Prevent Orange Foundation

Thursday, April 9, 2015

I have been struggling this battle for at least three years now. The foundation, after setting on my skin turns orange. I thought I was the only one, and didn't think much of it. Then I did a little research...

IPSY MARCH GLAM BAG REVIEW 2015

Friday, March 27, 2015

I have been waiting so long for this...a March Glam Bag! Finally! Ipsy definitely surprised me. The floral bag looks so cute! I am currently loving all the samples. For those of you who don't know what Ipsy is it is a monthly makeup bag of 5 products that get shipped to your door for just $10. You take a quiz on what you are like example: Are you comfortable with makeup? , What kind of skin do you have? , Hair? etc...Subscribe Now! I will go in order below from my favorite to least favorite products I received.

Cool Way hair oil is the one that got me the most. It is suitable for dry damaged hair. I personally have dried out hair from my straightener everyday. So this definitely keeps your hair nice and moisturized. I have been looking for something like this, so ipsy really helped me out there!

NYX butter lipstick is the best! It says what it means, its as moisturizing and feels like butter on your lips. I saw this color and it looked so dark, but then tried it on my lips and loved it. It is a really nice berry pinkish color. Perfect for spring!

I get really puffy eyes in the mornings and I am hoping this will help, Skyn Cool Firming Eye pads. I am hoping to use this soon, but still haven't and am super excited to use it.  I have a good feeling this is going to be a really nice product.

I haven't used the BB cushion yet, but it does contain a variety of four shades. I think that I could use all of them, like to use the darkest one for contouring.

What are your favorite products from ipsy?

3 Mascara Mistakes You Should Avoid & Tips...

Friday, January 9, 2015

There are a lot of great mascara choices out there, but only a few mistakes answer it all. One common mistake is that most beauticians don't use an eyelash curler. This part of the eye lash curler might seam a little unnecessary and harsh, but this will really make your lashes pop, and result in bigger looking eyes. Another mistake is pumping the mascara. This will actually put air bubbles into your tube of mascara, which will have an easier time drying out. If the mascara happens to dry out it will become flakey. Also most people tend to hold on to their mascara bottles for too long. Even when there is mascara still in the tube, toss it. Makeup can expire. I believe mascara can last a good year or so.

TIPS:

1. You should apply your mascara to the whole length of the lash instead of just the tips. This will keep it all in place.

2. Don't be afraid to go a little overboard with the mascara, although not too much over the limit. So stop when the lashes are evenly coated.

Lip Colors, No Need To Buy!

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

If you are lacking on you new favorite lippies, and think you are missing out.
You don't have to miss out anymore!
All you have to do is take a colorless lipbalm, or a lip color you already have and apply that to your lips. Then take one of your favorite eyeshadow colors and apply that as a top coat to create a color. The eyeshadow amazingly locks in the moister of your chapstick to keep it from moving. I thought this was a really nice idea for all of those really expensive lipsticks and just pay $20 on eyeshadow palettes and a simple lipbalm or chapstick to create a color of your own. Or if you have an eyeshadow you don't like to use or using the cheep brands would work just fine on your lips. Now you can create colors that aren't even in stores yet!

How to Deep Clean Your Makeup Brushes | Lex a' Lucious

Sunday, December 14, 2014

Makeup brushes can get built up with dirt and germs almost every day. Its important to clean them.

How often should I clean them?
Some people clean them every two weeks, others may do them monthly, or yearly. I usually do them monthly because I think that is about the time I see them getting dirty. I think as long as you wash the makeup out of the brush that's all that's counts.

How do I clean them?
I heard that most people clean them with olive oil and anti - bacterial soap. I have tried that and it worked well, and moisturized my brush, but It made it smell like olive oil. I really didn't like the smell of that. I now use any hair conditioner and some shampoo. I also like to use the dove soap hand bar. It makes my brushes moisturized and smell nice and clean. Any of these would work! Just add ingredients in a bowl and move the brush in a circular motion, then rinse with luke warm water.

Creamy-Matte & Glistening Autumn Lipsticks...

Friday, November 14, 2014

These autumn lipsticks are two of my favorites. They are both amazingly creamy and pigmented. The two I have in the pictures above are 660 Touch Of Spice (matte) and 105 Pink Wink (regular). I love these great high quality lipsticks because they are so weightless on your lips you don't even realize that its there. If you have dry lips always or just at the moment don't expect this to do the job. I would strongly recommend a layer of lip balm or chap stick to keep it moisturized (Bert's Bees, Baby Lips, EOS, or Vaseline etc..). I like how they supply your lips with a burst of color and a creamy surge of texture. They are both very similar in color, but different in finishes.
The packaging is so elegant and smooth. I love the finish of the entire product. You can find these Maybelline creamy lip colors at very reasonable prices. The 660 Touch Of Spice (Matte) is $5.49, and the 105 Pink Wink is only $5.59 at www.Target.com.

Mosturising Fall Lips!

Saturday, October 18, 2014
Do you ever get dry lips? I do. I hate having dry lips, and it gets even worse in the fall and through the winter. So, I had to find a solution. I found the following products at the drugstore and they really help with my dry lips, I don't think I would survive without them...

During the day...
EOS(the purple egg)- I really like using EOS. I like using this for day lip care. This really doesn't do much to help you moisturize your lips all day long, I just use it to touch up my lips after I put on a nice layer of baby lips in the morning.

In the AM...

I like using an Baby Lips  or Bert's Bees in the morning. Either of these will keep those lips looking great with a shine for the morning as well as moisturizing.

In the PM...

At night I use the Vaseline Lip Therapy. This is one of the best lip moisturizing balms. This puts a pink sheer on your lips. Keeping your lips pink for all tomorrows perfection.

I hope these help your dry lips entering this fall!

5 Top Tips To Appling Pencil Eyeliner...

Monday, October 13, 2014

Pencil eyeliner is not always easy and takes some practice. Some of these tips you may already know but I'm hoping that most of these tips will help most of you new to this.

1. Always work in parts, using dotted lines with light strokes across your eye work well for me.

2. It's was also really hard for me to keep the line straight. Now I rest my pinkie finger on my cheek and it helps a lot better to keep a steady hand.

3. To get a cleaner line pull the skin away from your eye.

4. To make your eyelashes look bigger and bold make a thicker and more darker line.

5. To make your eyes look bigger I like to keep the line going a little beyond the outer corners.

The Color Of Fall...

Friday, October 10, 2014
When it comes to fall, I love using eye shadow in many different fall shades. These are some of my favorites>>>

1. I love the fall and these fall colors really get me in the mood for fall. The first one is the Victoria Secret Silk Wear Shimmering Powder Eye Colour in the color 87 Starry Eyed. ($11.00)

2. This one is my favorite, the Maybelline Expert Wear eye shadow in all the colors of Mocha Motion. This is one of the best kits, I like this one for the all in one feature with directions on where to apply it, and of course of its crazy cute colors

3. I also really like the Victoria Secret Eye Colour 1 Brush. It is really soft and silky and has a great tip for blending as well as applying.

4. The MK Signature threesome pallet comes with blush and makeup brushes. I really like this combination and color. Although in the picture I only showed the eye shadows that pop out.
